Easter_Eggs

Easter Eggs are not some egg shaped candies used to celebrate easter. They are some secret messages or tricks burried in an application. Here are some of these... ;-)

Windows:
Ever tried to create a folder named CON, NUL, PRN, COM0, COM1,…,COM9 & LPT0, LPT1,…, LPT9 or a nameless folder(Space) in windows?
Windows doesn’t allow you simply to create folder with the above names…
I got 2 methods to create these folders:
1. Go to command prompt and type: “md\\.\\C:\\con” (without quotes). You can change the path if you want to create folder somewhere else (Similarly with other names).
And to remove these folders, type ‘rmdir\\.\\C:\\con’ at command prompt.(You can’t delete them simply…)
2. This method doesn’t actually create the folder with the name CON, NUL…… Its there to hoax others. What you have to do is just create the folder with the name “CON with a space” (???). Name the folder ‘CON’ and hold down the [ALT] key and press 255 (With NUM LOCK on).
And now you know how an unnamed folder is to be created…
XP:
Go to the hidden folder C:\WINDOWS\system32\oobe\images. Look up for the track ‘title.wma’. Double click and enjoy “Windows Welcome Music”…

Google:
Google Calculator
With Google Calculator, you can use the Google search box for serious number crunching--anything from converting currency to solving advanced math equations. But things don't always add up the way you think they will (with Google Calculator). Try searching for "answer to life the universe and everything," "number of horns on a unicorn," or "once in a blue moon" for unexpected computations...
Google Earth
Buried in the free mapping program Google Earth is a nifty flight simulator that lets you either hop into the cockpit of an F16 fighter jet or a lightweight SR22 propeller-powered airplane. To access the flight simulator in Google Earth, open the program, press Ctrl-Alt-A on your keyboard and soar across the (Google) Earth... (Actually it’s not an Easter Egg, as you can access it from tools also)

µTorrent:
Start µTorrent and go to Help>About µTorrent. Click on the logo on the left top and a sound something like used in THX trailers will be played.
Even more surprising Easter egg is in the same window: press [ctrl] + [t] and enjoy the game Tetris.

Firefox:
Firefox inside Firefox:
Open Firefox. Enter the following in the address bar:
chrome://browser/content/browser.xul
Robots:
In the url bar, type ‘about:robots’. Now click on the ‘Try Again’ button...

Notepad:
Create a new notepad file and type in ‘bush hid the facts’ (Of course without quotes). Save the file and close it. Reopen the file to see what you find. Even if you type ‘this app can break’, you get the same result.
